About the Library

As a service to language researchers, ASLIP maintains a library of books and materials that can be made available by special request to qualified linguists. Contact the ASLIP Secretary for information about holdings and availability.

Donate Materials to the Library

Retiring linguistic professionals may wish to donate materials from their personal libraries for use by other researchers. Such donations should be sent to:

The use of USPS Library Rate is recommended, see information below. Such donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by federal law. All contact and inquiries must be conducted through the ASLIP Secretary. No services are available at the above mailing address.

Not for Profit Status

The Association for the Study of Language in Prehistory, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and as such is permitted to receive library materials sent through the United States Postal Service at the Library Rate, which is considerably more economical than First Class. Some conditions apply, including:

Parcels can not exceed 70 lbs. in weight

Parcels cannot contain additional correspondence beyond packing slips.

Delivery and return addresses are required.
